Suggestion: After some testing last night we found that the thing that holds the most aggro is DoT. Some of the swords had their bleeds taken away and given a taunt that virtually holds no aggro. But our guy who fills the tank roll switched to a weapon with bleed and had no issues holding aggro unless we were swarmed by so many things he couldn’t get the bleeds out fast enough.
If possible please give the swords their bleed back at least until aggro is figured out or fixed by the official...
Suggestion: Bows are a little flat, with a clear outlier in the short bow. I'd suggest slightly tweaking the numbers. As a visual aid, here is a list of current bow damage, speed and DPS Note If there are other bows similar to the barbed bow that cannot be crafted, I am unaware of them.
Suggestion: If using manifestation as a healing to your pets, allow it to raise animal lore.
Reason: With taming at nearly 65, my lore was 33. I keep my pets alive with manifestation. When I swapped to using bandages, I started gaining lore. Lore helps to control your pets, so even without healing its a needed skill. It seems a waste to have to raise then lower healing just to raise animal lore, and from seeing how it raises skill...
Also suggestion: Make animal lore affect the healing you...
I think you should reduce the number of low level chests in Deception and Contempt, probably take level 1 chests out of Contempt. This will make chests more in line with the difficulty of monsters. Plus at 65 skill it's almost impossible for me to gain skill when a majority of chests don't give me skill anymore.
Taming is one of the big three combat styles currently in the game. Like Magery and Warrior, it requires 4 skills to be fully successful (Animal Lore, Animal Taming, Beastmastery, and either Healing or Manifestation for recovery). This makes being a tamer a fully realized combat role.
That said, taming on LoA sucks hard. When comparing it to the other combat roles, taming can take between 5-15x longer simply to reach comparable levels. Taming on the official servers means focusing on...
I have only recently started playing this game and I am very happy with how most things are in the game at this stage.
My aim was to create an archer character who uses stealth as well. I found out that it is not worth spending 200 skill points on hiding and stealth for a number of reasons.
1 - Melee warriors have a general advantage since they can attack you while mounted.
2 - You are easily detected and discovered when you try to hide. (Players simply walk up to where you were and...
As asked for, here are a few suggestions about rares and collectables. These could all be from existing game assets. They might be rare drops from mobs, or from gathering, or from fishing. Mostly they are decoration only.
Paintings, "The Future, The Man", "Gentle Gentlemen", etc.
Rugs, carpets, stuffed/mounted bear head, deer head.
Inn barrels of various foods.
Any of the luggage chests as seen at the wagon master. (These could be actual locking chests, if possible)
Also the soldier's...
I would sure like to see feathers make it into the game. From a board you can make a shaft, you can even fire harden the tip, but without fetching it isn't an arrow! We have chickens, turkey, and harpy. There could be 3 levels of arrows or just one. But without feathers I feel like I'm getting the shaft. :P
So the main reason I'm ranting has to do with a combination of things. A player who has been around since very early alpha and I started on your shard when the main server went down, but I'm fairly new to the game. We have noticed things that seem very strange on this server with regard to some bugs that didn't previously exist, as well as some things that seem different or are missing. With the preface out of the way, I want to say that we are grateful for the work that has...
suggestions to help #makelancinggreatagain
lancing added to blacksmithing or carpentry menus.
if for carpentry profession, just reduce the ingot bar requirement by half or close, to and add in wood (in parantheses)
T1 warfork 3 iron, 1 lignite coal (5 wood)
T2 Pilum 6 iron, 1 bituminous coal (10 wood)
T3 war spear 7 steel, 1 bituminous coal (10 durable wood)
T4 halberd 8 cobalt, 1 anthracite (10 blightwood)
T5 runed halberd 10...
crook just makes animals stand in a spot...boring. lol
tamed basic animals wolves, hinds, coyotes, horses, chickens, turkeys till 60... lore seems stuck at 10.8
horses able to tame @ around 15 skill
big needs: pet summon on large cooldown
bonding of some sorts, so you dont loose your pet under harsh circumstances, maybe....
(stable bond: dead pets can be ressurectedat the stable at a price)
could tame black bears around lvl 40 taming,
cant tame brown bears, at all, which seemed odd
No lancing items are listed on the crafting menu of blacksmithing. Only way to obtain T2-T4 weapons currently are high level loot, which provides difficulty in itself to even raise the level of the skill. but here is the real reason for the post:
Lancing is the only melee AOE option. The three abilities: AOE attack, dismount, AOE stun. the ranges on all of these are too short to really do much. the range is 2 yards. to get a mob to stand on top of another mob is quite difficult...
It would be very handy to see our current weight without needing to keep the backpack open. down near the backpack is an area that isn't being used. Making it white so it's highly visible would be much appreciated by the older folks as well
Can we please add a baseline regeneration of 0.1 mana and health? Nothing game breaking, but having some regeneration is needed I think.
Resurrecting at a random shrine in the middle of nowhere and trying to get home can take a long time, even if you happen to find a mushroom to recall with but forget you have 0 mana anyway.
this is about the fishing skill, and how it compares on our server with other resource gathering.
one of the problems with fabrication is the lack of materials, or rather when the materials are gathered they come in small quantities. 1 of either strand, cotton, or fluffy cotton. if when gathering a node of cotton, a person would get either 1 cotton, fluffy, or strand; there would be an easier time of raising the fabrication. whole guilds are dumping resources into one crafter and still...
A command to compact our money would be much appreciated. I always get over-burdened with coppers while farming mobs. So a command like
that turns each 100 coppers into 1 silver, and each 100 silvers into 1 gold would really help.
